Emirates and Viva Aerobus to launch interline agreement
Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Viva Aerobus to enhance connections for passengers traveling to Mexico. The partnership will facilitate Emirates flights to multiple destinations in Mexico, allowing Emirates passengers to fly from Mexico City to 21 domestic destinations while benefiting from the convenience of both airlines’ one-bag-on-one ticket policy.
The interline agreement also opens up more international routes for Emirates customers, providing 20 convenient flight options connecting six destinations in Mexico and some popular U.S. cities. Interline tickets are on sale now with immediate effect. Travel can be booked on emirates.com, the Emirates app and select travel agencies.
Travelers booking flights from Dubai to Mexico City can choose to fly to 21 other domestic destinations, including Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara and Monterrey. The interline network also includes direct flights from the United States. Examples include Chicago O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston-Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Orlando and Miami, as well as certain Mexican destinations. Also, travelers from Mexico City can easily fly to Chicago O’Hare, Houston-Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York JFK or San Antonio.
“We are pleased to activate an interline partnership with Viva Aerobus to deepen our reach in Mexico beyond Mexico City. This new partnership offers our customers more options to suit their travel plans and allows customers to fly seamlessly to a number of unique destinations in Mexico. Emirates customers can also fly directly between select U.S. points and cities in Mexico. This new offering is in line with our Fly Better promise and the convenience our customers can feel when flying with us and we look forward to further developing the partnership in the future to elevate its benefits for our customers,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer.
The Dubai-Mexico City route started in 2019 with a stopover in Barcelona, flights are operated on Boeing 777.200LR, travelers can also fly with the Airbus A380 flights from Dubai to Los Angeles and Houston-Intercontinental, before connecting with Viva Aerobus to fly to their final destinations in Mexico.
