Air Europa expands its offer in America

Air Europa is expanding its offer in the Americas for the year-end holiday season by adding around 23,700 seats to meet growing demand, increasing seat capacity by 5% in view of the increase in sales expected during the first half of 2024. In addition, resuming routes and adding frequencies on several connections in Latin America.

The increase in seat capacity operations is due to the progressive increase of the fleet, the opening of routes and the addition of additional frequencies on connections to its Madrid-Barajas hub and other destinations in America.

A more modern fleet

Air Europa expects to have four new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner available, two of which were added in December, giving it a fleet of 20 of its own long-haul aircraft and five leased from Norse Atlantic Airways.

In addition, Boeing 737 MAX aircraft were added in May to strengthen the narrowbody fleet and expand its short- and medium-haul routes. In total, the airline will have thirty 737s next year.

Latin America continues to be one of the Globalia airline’s key markets for connections to Europe. Air Europa will be increasing its operations to Venezuela and Paraguay with five weekly flights to Caracas and Asunción. Colombia will increase its service in December to six weekly flights to Medellin. In Panama, from June 2024 it will have six weekly flights.

In North Africa, the company will resume the route to Tunisia, as well as two weekly flights to Morocco. Air Europa is continuing with its strategic plan to consolidate its position as a key player in the Madrid-Barajas hub and maintaining an important role in the transatlantic market.
