Avianca Increases European Services with Four Daily Flights Between Bogota and Madrid

By mid-June, Avianca reinforces its intercontinental operations by increasing its services between Bogota (BOG) and Madrid (MAD). The company will have 7 daily flights between Colombia and Spain for the summer season.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas, 1,095,936 passengers and 24,515.2 tons of cargo were mobilized in 2022 between Madrid (MAD) and Bogota (BOG) in 4,252 operations. The Colombian capital is the main long-haul destination at Adolfo Suarez International Airport (MAD).

Avianca will offer 24,500 weekly seats between Colombia and Spain in July, representing a 21% increase in capacity compared to December 2022. The airline is the main operator in this market where it offers up to four non-stop routes between both countries.

Bogota (BOG) – Madrid (MAD)
  • Flight AV 46 BOG 07:00 – MAD 23:45 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 182 BOG 13:15 – MAD 05:55+1 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 26 BOG 14:55 – MAD 07:40+1 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 10 BOG 21:25 – MAD 14:05+1 daily flights.
Madrid (MAD) – Bogota (BOG)
  • Flight AV 47 MAD 01:45 – BOG 05:00 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 183 MAD 09:15 – BOG 12:35 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 27 MAD 09:40 – BOG 12:55 daily flights.
  • Flight AV 11 MAD 17:50 – BOG 21:05 daily flights.

The services will be operated in Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 250 passengers in two classes (28 Business Class/222 Economy) and promotional fares are available starting at USD 424 one way. The fourth daily flight is already available for sale through the airline’s website and its regular channels.

Avianca Bogota Madrid

Avianca mobilized 760,005 passengers and 18,658.7 tons of cargo in 2022 between Colombia and Spain in 3,352 according to data from Aena Estadísticas. The European country is the company’s main international market in terms of seats per kilometers offered (ASK).
